Good Wednesday Morning, Fellow Seekers. You can add state Rep. Angel Cruz, D-Philadelphia, to the list of in exchange for a vote.Tyron B. Ali, the confidential informant with the sweetheart deal who famously scuttled a public corruption investigation, was wearing a wire and working for the Attorney General's Office when he made the offer in 2010, The Tribune-Review reports.
Cruz tells the newspaper that Ali, a Trindadian who was posing as a lobbyist for a West Indian group, tried to offer Cruz an envelope stuffed with ,000 cash in exchange for voting against a controversial Voter ID law.
This confirms that Ali was the worst pretend lobbyist ever, since every House and Senate Democrat opposed the VoterID law to begin with. A stunned Cruz rejected the offer, the newspaper reported.
It was the first and hopefully the last time anyone offers money, Cruz said.
