New Orleans chef John Besh returns to Birmingham to sign new cookbook, 'Cooking from the Heart'
John Besh's Cooking from the Heart features 140 of his favorite recipes, along with personal stories from his early days as a chef in Germany and France.
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama New Orleans chef John Besh will be back in Birmingham on Friday to sign copies of his latest cookbook, Cooking from the Heart, at the Alabama Booksmith in Homewood.
Besh -- , including Luke, August and Besh Steak -- also will prepare and serve terrine of rare duck breast and rillettes with watermelon radishes and grilled bread from the cookbook.
