Bay of the Holy Spirit Jubilee on track despite weather only a duck, or a 'Duck Dynasty' fan, could love

-- One good thing about presenting a event on a rainy day: At least you know that your stars and many of their fans are amphibious.

Intermittent showers definitely dampened the early afternoon hours of the inaugural , an event bringing four stars of the hit reality show together at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope. Even so, by 2 p.m., a respectable crowd of patrons was browsing early attractions such as children's activities, a vendor display area, and music on the event's main stage. More than a few patrons wore fake beards in honor of Robertson family members who star in the hit reality TV show.

Karin Wilson, the owner of Page Palette bookstore and the principal organizer of the festival, expressed frustration with the rain, but said that aside from that, things were running smoothly. "We just want people come out and have a good time," she said.

Plans call for author Andy Andrews to speak at 5 p.m., after which four members of the "Duck Dynasty" cast will take the stage. Plans call for Si, Phil, Kay and Korie Robertson to speak for an hour; the appearance serves as the grand finale of book tours promoting several books released by the cast. The event is co-sponsored by Alabama Media Group.
