Auburn hopes to apply pressure on Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray (AP Photo/Dave Martin)AP Photo/Dave Martin

We know the history. Georgia has won six of the past seven in the Deep South's oldest rivalry.

We know Georgia is getting healthy again. The Bulldogs are getting back Chris Conley, the team's leading receiver who has been out for the past two games, and tight end Arthur Lynch, a 6-foot-5, 254-pound target whose bruised ribs aren't so bruised this week.

We know Aaron Murray is one of the best quarterbacks in SEC history and running back Todd Gurley, when he's on the field, is among the nation's top runners.

Go ahead and chalk up a lot of points in Saturday's game at Jordan-Hare Stadium for 3 1/2-point underdog Georgia (6-3).

What we don't know is how Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall will handle the spotlight playing against the team and coach he played for when he signed as a freshman.

So far, it's all good for Marshall and No. 7 Auburn (9-1) but the spotlight is a lot different than the last time the Tigers played a ranked team. That turned out to be Auburn's finest hour this year, a 45-41 upset over then-No. 7 Texas A M.

This week's picks:

Georgia vs. Auburn
It has a nice ring to it -- 10-1 Auburn against unbeaten and top-ranked Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Before that can happen, beating the team that delivered Auburn's first shutout at home since 2003 (38-0) has to happen. But that Georgia team had eight defensive players taken in the NFL Draft. This Georgia defense is a shell of that one, and that sets the stage for Marshall and Co. to put up enough points to outscore Murray and Co. Georgia's best matchup could be Conley and Lynch working against Auburn's weak link, its linebackers. Can one of the SEC's best defensive fronts neutralize Murray?

Alabama vs. Mississippi State
If you don't count Ole Miss and the Egg Bowl, this is the biggest home game 25-point underdog Mississippi State will play this year. Against LSU last week, the Tide had a national championship look. If there is any hangover from that game, so much for that.

IN THE STATE

UAB vs. East Carolina: the number to keep in mind here is 40. That's how many points the 26 1/2-point underdog Blazers allow. ECU averages 39.1.
East Carolina 45, UAB 21

South Alabamavs. Navy: The nine-point underdog Jags have played a bunch of close games. Against Navy's triple-option, they're going to have to hold serve or get trampled.
